This is where the answer to the question will go. It will be hidden until someone clicks the question or plus sign to reveal it. Also, you'll want to make sure to update the question in both the open and closed canvas views. In the left sidebar, select the question canvas, and then click the Closed View to update the question there as well as the Open View to update the question there. The questions are input twice so that when you open the answer, clicking the question again will close it back up.
Extend the text box and the canvas (on both desktop and mobile) to fit your full question. Make sure the canvas ends at the bottom of the text.
You'll see in the left sidebar of the Showit panel that every question has its own canvas along with a corresponding answer canvas. If you'd like to add more, you can duplicate the last question and answer canvases to add new ones. You'll then need to update the click actions for the question to open/close the correct answer.
Find the question canvas you just added in the left sidebar. You'll then see two canvas views, called "Closed" and "Open". First, click on the "Closed" canvas view. Select the question and in the right sidebar, select the click actions tab and update the click action to show the correct corresponding answer canvas with the same number beside it as your question. Do the same for the open icon. Then, click on the "Open" canvas view in your question and select the close icon and repeat to select the same corresponding answer canvas. So, for example, Question-15 click actions would show and hide the Answer-15 canvas.
In the left sidebar, simply select the question and answer canvases you don't need yet, one at a time, and click the 3 dots beside the canvas names to uncheck the "Visible on Desktop" and "Visible on Mobile" boxes. This will hide the canvases until you are ready to use them. Then, you can unhide the question and answer canvases later by following the same steps to check the visibility boxes for both desktop and mobile to turn them back on when you have a new question to add.
We suggest adding your chosen FAQ style to your site by adding it as a full page to your site from your Showit library, and then adding in your own Site Canvas set and other canvases around it to build out the rest of the page as needed. This will be much easier than adding each question and answer canvas one at a time from your library.
Great idea! See the FAQ's header canvas here at the top? You can change that text to something like a category/section title instead and then duplicate it as many times as you want to create new section headings, dragging and dropping them in your canvas list in the left sidebar just above the question where the next topic starts. Be sure to adjust your text position and canvas spacing on mobile to ensure there isn't too little or too much white space surrounding it.
